I hope you are enjoying our latest issue of ‘SeniorHealth’ magazine. You may have noticed the new name “GoodHealth.”
It’s the same senior-focused information, however, we are hoping that the up-and-coming seniors (ages 35-54) will begin to learn about aging now. That way they will be better able to prepare for a healthy aging process for themselves while learning how to better care for their older loved ones who may need a helping hand now and again. The new name is more inclusive and inviting to readers of all ages.
On another note, the Successful Aging Forum was a HUGE success, and I can tell you that Dr. Oz is as personable in person as he seems on television. Over 1,200 people crowded into the Hampton Roads Convention Center to be part of the program that was sponsored by our good friends at Human. Dr. Oz’s presentation was not only informational, but inspirational as well. Many seniors had questions for Dr. Oz and his panel of Physicians and some seniors gave testimonials about how his teaching has dramatically help them to stay fit, active, and in one case even alive!
All in all it was a fabulous day and rest assured that we collected your evaluations so that we will be able to provide an even better program next year.
Stay tuned for information on this year’s SeniorFest event. Even though it has been the biggest and best health fair for seniors in Hampton Roads for the past 10 years, I assure you that this year’s SeniorFest will be the biggest and best ever.
