Undending Gratitude
‘Sacrifice’ is easily said, but not easily understood. Perhaps we here in Hampton Roads understand more than most the sacrifice that is required when we take up arms to protect our freedom. The sacrifice of the wives of our soldiers who for months, years, and even a lifetime have had to single-handedly raise a family. The sacrifice of the mothers and fathers who have stayed awake nights praying for their sons and daughters. The sacrifice of the many children who have never known their fathers, the heros of our great nation.

It is with sincere thanks that the Senior Health membership and staff reflect upon the many and varied sacrifices that have been made by all of those who have served in our armed forces. In particular, those veterans who are now Senior Health members. We salute you, our children salute you, and their children salute you and give you the honor that you have earned.

The cost of our freedom is great. It has been from the start. From Valley Forge to Gettysburg to Normandy to Iwo Jima to Korea to Vietnam to Desert Storm. Again, and always, receive our unending gratitude for your courage, for your sacrifice, for our freedom.
