The All-American SeniorFest 2002

Joyce at SeniorFestTalk about your Red, White and Blue! Wow! What fun we had at SeniorFest 2002 - All-American Seniors. This year's SeniorFest had it all, from All-American hats to Red, White and Blue desserts. We celebrated the life we live in this proud country of ours. We celebrated the freedom that most of us have been privileged to share our entire lives, and what a celebration it was!

Lunch, entertainment, health screenings, prizes, jokes, games, movies... I'm running out of breath and ink just thinking about it all. We served over 1,100 seniors at 6 events. We nearly ran the Hunt Family Fiddlers ragged as they sang, played and danced their way from Norfolk to Portsmouth and then Newport News.

"All of our luncheons sold out this year and we provided more health screenings than ever before," according SeniorFest fun1to Joyce Huskey, the Bon Secours Senior Health and Wellness Coordinator.

SeniorFest is made possible each year by organizations that care as much as we do about the health and wellness of our senior community. This year our major sponsors included: Hanger Prosthetics, Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital, Marion Manor, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Sears Financial, and TowneBank.

Special thanks to all of our sponsors, exhibitors, and the seniors who came out to make this year's SeniorFest a fun and successful event.
