Now is the right time to pay tribute to the seniors you love, or the organizations that have served you the best. Nominate them for the prestigious 2008 Senior Hero or Senior Organization Awards. The Senior Hero will receive a one-week trip for 2 at the Sunset Fishermen Spa & Resort in Cancun, Mexico (donated by Cruizes & Travel, Inc. and Senior Source Magazine), a trophy, and recognition in SeniorHealth Magazine.

This mark of distinction will be awarded to a working or retired senior based on their commitment to influencing and improving the lives of others, their devotion to enhancing the environment, and time given for volunteering or community work.

The Senior Hero Award will be presented by Naomi Judd, our keynote speaker at the 10th annual Successful Aging Forum, in April 2008. The recipient must be at least 65 years old and currently residing in Virginia. All nominees will be recognized at this event. The Senior Organization Award will be given to the business, church or organization that has best served our senior community.

1. The person’s (or organization’s) name, address, birth date, and phone number.
2. A 1-page written nomination stating why you believe they should receive the award (Nominations longer than 1-page will not be considered).
3. Include your name and phone number as well.
