Donate School Supplies
Who can forget the wonderful smell when opening a new box of crayons on the first day of school? The scent of colored wax, the jangle of new lunch boxes, the whirr of pencil sharpeners, the laughter of friends, the crisp autumn air — they all signal the beginning of a new school year.
The first day of school is just around the corner and it’s time to think about school supplies. Shopping for school supplies with their parents brings a special excitement for students as they prepare for the coming year, especially for young children. Sadly, many children in our community never experience that anticipation because many of their parents cannot afford to buy school supplies. Each child deserves to start school with the required materials and parents want them to have the items they need for their education. The support of a caring community is a gift to both the parents and the children.
